As longtime readers know, this has always been my personal blog since I started it in 2008. But, honestly, over time, it’s become far more of a real estate industry blog. It’s probably time I recognized that.
One way to recognize such a shift is to bring on other writers, other voices who have interesting things to say and fearless observations about this industry of ours. Well, I’d like to introduce you all to a man who frankly doesn’t need much of an introduction — at least to the Notorious Audience.
Please welcome Bob Bemis to Notorious ROB.
In case you’re not in the real estate industry, Bob is one of the most respected executives in the MLS/data/technology world with, as he puts it:
- 22 years in school
- 20 years in TV broadcasting
- 24 years in real estate technology
His most recent foray was at a small startup in Seattle you might have heard of by the name of Zillow as the VP of Partner Relations. Prior to that, he was the CEO of ARMLS, one of the largest MLS’s in the country with some 32,000 members.
He’s launched his own blog, Procuring Cause, and I suspect he’ll be cross-posting quite a bit from Notorious to there and vice versa. But I figured this audience would probably find his thoughts and observations interesting.
Plus, he will easily fit in with the blog.
In any event, please welcome the Notorious BOB to the blog, and check out his first post ever on Notorious. It’s likely to carry on the tradition of fearless inquiry that is our hallmark here.
